On This Rich Ground
Surely one of the best magazines in America is Modern Age. Founded by Russell Kirk more than half a century ago, and renewed in the last ten years by the solid editorship of R.V. Young, it has been a constant resource for my own intellectual formation since I was in my early twenties. But it had one mighty flaw in this age of ours: it was never available online. ISI, the publisher, has begun to rectify that in a way that will not destroy its subscriber base. That's pleasing for me, because I have been publishing there for a decade, and now some of that work (not all of it) is appearing online. Click the picture to read "On This Rich Poem," an epithalamium I wrote for some family members a few years back. (I challenge you to note the curious typo somewhere on the page!)
